Manila North Cemetery

Manila North Cemetery is one of the biggest and oldest cemeteries in Metro Manila. This is a public cemetery because it is owned by the Manila City government. The cemetery is famous because of the numerous families living inside the more commodious mausoleums.

I and my partner went to Manila North Cemetery on the rainy day of the 25th of July. And we had a great experience in the cemetery because we’ve seen the grave of some of the popular persons in the cemetery like Ramon Magsaysay (third president of the Republic of the Philippines), Sergio Osmena, Amado Hernandez (famous Filipino writer), Claro M. Recto (Filipino Politician) and Fernando Poe, Jr.(well-known actor). At first, we don’t want that place because it’s “cemetery”, we don’t know how we were going to write an article about that because it is very challenging for us to convinced people for them why they should go there. But after we went to the North Cemetery we were very excited to write an article because we are now motivated and we had a happy experience in the cemetery. In North Cemetery you will have a unique experience and you will see the grave of the most known person in the Philippines. If you are going to go to the North Cemetery, make sure you wear a comfortable shoes or slippers because the cemetery is very big and it is very exhausting. You will see people that are living in the cemetery because of poverty but they are good and some of them are selling flowers and candles to get income for their everyday life. You will find the usual tombs, apartment type of tombs and crematorium. The cemetery is very clean and the guards there that are monitoring the area are very friendly.
